Davey Johnstone is joined on stage by Max Hoetzel, Bruce Watson and Rick Astley for some
dueling banjos, followed by a performance from the Lupin Hill Fabulous Fiddlers
Windy Wagner brought down the house with a soleful Nothing Compares to You
Break in the program for the live auction that netted over $8,000 for Lupin Hill. That
doesn't include the silent auction or ticket sales.
The program continued with the Rolling Tones hitting the stage with Davey and
performing Satisfaction and Jumping Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones.
Charlie Johnstone played drums for Rick Astley on Lady Madonna
Ken Stacey sang Good Riddance by Green Day
Ben Babylon played keyboards on the Who's Baba O'Riley sung by Billy Trudell
The Elton John Band then took the stage with Adam Chester for Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding
Ken Stacey accompanied the EJ Band on vocals for the Beatles' Birthday Song
Rick Astley joined the EJ Band on vocals for the Beatles' Back in the USSR
Rick Astley then performed Staying Alive and Jailhouse Rock
Tam Johnstone on drums for I'm Down and Long Tall Sally
The crowd slowly made their way out, all thoroughly entertained and knowing they participated in a good cause!
All of the musicials and stage hands were volunteering their time and efforts, with the lion's share of work in
setting up the benefit done by Davey and Kay Johnstone. Big applause for all!
